Safety

TENSION is a workout-recording tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, personal training, or emergency assistance.

Stop exercising immediately and seek appropriate medical attention if you experience chest pain, faintness, severe shortness of breath, sudden weakness, unusual pain, or another concerning symptom.

Use informed judgement

Resistance training carries risk. Use equipment only as intended, choose movements and loads appropriate for your ability, and maintain a training environment that allows you to stop safely. Never let an app timer override good judgement.

Talk to a professional first if needed

Seek advice from a physician or another qualified health professional before beginning or changing a training program if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, are recovering from injury or surgery, take medication that may affect exercise tolerance, or have been advised to limit physical activity.

When training near your limit

High-effort sets require additional care. Use stable equipment, consider a qualified spotter where relevant, keep the movement controlled, and stop before a loss of safe technique. Do not attempt to train to muscular failure in a way that could put you, another person, or property at risk.

About results

Training outcomes vary. TENSION does not guarantee changes in strength, body composition, weight, health, performance, or the time required to achieve them. Nutrition, recovery, genetics, program design, medical factors and consistency all matter.

Your responsibility

You choose whether and how to use TENSION. By using the app, you accept responsibility for your activity and agree to stop using the app when its use is not appropriate for your circumstances.
